within my words is a complex simplicity,
I walk with our long goodbye
gated within pearls
of that which is ever-present,
beatific bounty treasured,
beyond measure, within this chest.

I love the images in this...gated within pearls...beautific bounty (which is of course love)...treasured...within this chest. Very nice.

The alliteration you have used adds rather than distracts to the feel of it also, which is good, because not a lot of people have mastered the art of subtle alliteration.
Thankyou for entering my contest. Good Luck!

-
speechless..

you have been writing really great poetry this new year

-
I have never seen you write like this Yvette!
not only did you bring out the theme with loaded words
but with a telling lineation!

-
this is beautiful! i cannot even find a portion/line/combination of words or phrasing that i like best because this piece is so strong as a whole... no one portion stands out more than any other... this is quote skillfully composed!
