I haven't seen the word "eidetic" since my old High School psychology courses...how long ago was that ? That is none of your business! Lets just say there were dinosaurs running about.
Leaves a very ghostly, pernicious feel on the reader (me at least.) Maybe the brevity actually helps with that feel. It just jumps on you immediately, sort of like lurking evil might.
If these are your photographic images (in your head) I pity you...or anyone who has them. I see why it won the gold, it's striking and indeed leaves a lasting imprint. Congrats!
