My bathroom scales are boring me.
They will not tell a lie
Whilst sitting on my flushing throne,
They stare me in the eye.
And if I step upon them.
And wonder what they'll say.
They spin around but much too far
And promptly spoil my day.
They invite me to come back though.
And take my clothes off too.
But still they spin around too far.
And get me in a stew.
I want them to be nice to me.
And take some weight away.
But "Get that big lump off my dial".
Is all they seem to say.
I think I've found the answer,
To place inside this rhyme.
I'll weigh myself another day.
One leg at a time.

Superb, After reading through 160 poems, 150 or so on a sad theme wonderful to be made to laugh out loud.
And by a well constructed and written poem too.
Your poetry is a delight and we hope to see great examples in round 10.
Thanks a lot for this entry
