A man was walking down the beach
and stumbled upon a midnight cove
The curious stranger wandered in
to see what lied beyond
upon arriving he saw
the most beautiful thing he would ever see
it was a mermaid
with hair gleaming like moonlight on the summer sea
a tail whose color matched that of the coral blue ocean
and eyes that shone with all the beauty the sea has to offer
the mermaid glanced at this man
who had wandered to her home
and thought he was the most beautiful and intriguing thing she had seen
his hair was as dark as a moonless night
his eyes as green as the clovers in a field
and his muscles rippled on him
like from a rock thrown in a still pond
the two strangers looked at each other in wonder
and stared into their souls

I like many of the phrases you used, such as the last line. Ironically as much, I just now noticed you specifically asked that. Huh. This was very nicely done, though I must ernestly suggest you change your font colour as it is impossible to read, and I had to highlight to do so. But other than that, bravo. Thanks for entering.
