Would you have ever guessed
That the person you see before you
Isn't even real.
I am an unknown character.
Always wearing the mask
Of a stranger.
I'm am an actor;
Every day I play the role
Of someone I don't know.
This person behind this mask won't ask for much.
What I do ask, though,
Is that you help find my real character
And wake up from my own reality TV show,
Where everything you see and know
Is a lie, an illusion,
A figment of your imagination.
Help me remind myself and everyone else
Exactly what I look like behind this mask.
I don't want to be an actor anymore,
Or an unknown character.
But if I'm forced to be,
I want to be known as the character
That's simply called Me!
