Crashing in on satisfaction
Dancing rhythmically in her heart,
Freedom beckoned her
Sleepily and coiled
To the edge of destruction
And so close to hatred…
She sprang from the sturdy
Burden locked under her feet
And fell into a bitter world
Filled with broken dreams
And secrets buried in her skin
And confession tainted in her blood…
With nothing to lose;
She lost it all long ago,
Plummeting into the shadowy destruction
Awaiting to swallow her body…
The world had finally turned against her
And in her surreptitious way,
The love she ceased to understand,
Fell away,
And all fell away,
And she decided to fall away.
Letting go of solid ground
And falling from safety’s reach,
She jumped from the world,
Form her love
From her life,
From herself,
And became consumed by the
Frigid waters…
Blackness seeped into her mind,
Filling the corners of sane thinking,
And darkening her thoughts of survival…
Unseen hands penetrate her heart
Unearthing ever dirty deed
And every hidden truth
And every poisoned lie…
Closing in on the end
She opened her eyes to the broken waters
glancing about once more…
And the world forgot to save her
And her love escaped unseen
And the day turned to blackness
And her life slipped way
Into a never returning escape
From a mangled and chaotic mind, body, and soul…
