Sea of Lost Hope

In this glorious world
In this sea of lost hope
In this drowning dismality
With no way to cope.

Where love is a fast song
Falsley overplayed
An insignificant melody
So fakely displayed.

So many trapped
in its sugar coated splendor
But working so hard
as to never surrender.

Where personality makes no difference
and beauty overpowers
countless people left out
of love's condescending towers.

Yet we all still seek for them
that certain special one
That will sincerely love us forever
so the searching is done.

But what are we left with?
A disappointing ending
A battered broken heart
requring constant mending.

In this glorious world
In this sea of lost hope
I'm a lost cause for love
With no way to cope.

Please tell me what you think
