For Granted

Another year has passed
A new one upon us
Its in the horizon
There can be no denying
Walking the dirt trails and paths
Opening new doors
Tearing down fences
Senses alive like never before
You have a new lease
So explore
Life is precious you'll see
Live each day to the fullest
Love when you can
Say a kind word or two
This could be the last chance
So much promise ahead
Be a guiding light to all
Never forget
Live your life without regret
Leave doubt and fear to last year
Hopes dreams and wishes are possible
You'll see
Take nothing for granted
Learn this from me

We should all live as though there is no tomorrow, for we don't know if this will be the last day. Wise words, and advice

    Welcome to AllPoetry

    Good write with strong views.

You have a couple spelling mistakes:

    'horizion' - 'horizon'
    'prescious' - 'precious'
    'guilding' - 'guiding'
    'dought' - 'doubt'

    .♥.
    Thank you for your entry
    Best of luck
    Stay safe

first, i'd like to say thanks for reading and commenting on my piece "All I Can Do..." yes, you're right, there is something within it that i may or may not recover from. things are looking good, and the docs are telling me so, so hopefully it'll be over with and in remission soon.

    now, on to your piece...
this is a wonderful piece for a new year's resolution and hope... jwe should all have such hopes and dreams for each upcoming year.

    good luck in the contest!

    thought provoking

Your wonderful insight is indicating a kind soul indeed. "say a kind word or two This could be the last chance" is more true than most people realize - and I can tell you realize it, but you are going on with your life in a wonderful and positive way. This poem is very uplifting and hopeful, and I needed that right now. I started my new year in a great mood - and got hit with great fear - but realized help is with me all the way. Please keep writing, the world needs your writing!

    Wonderful

There is one line in this piece that really brought it home to me: 'This could be the last chance.' That line, that sentence there, sums up the whole meaning of this piece for me. It is a wonderful statement of intent. A wonderful piece of writing that everybody should adhere to. I enjoyed reading this very much.

    Well done
    Much love
