I have always loved music
And I always will
For musical talent like mine
Some people would kill
I am a freak of music
Because of what I play
My teacher called me a freak
Because its oboe I play
I also play piano
Saxophone and guitar
But there is one thing greater
Than all of these by far
The gift of song has been given
And given generously
Just to sing anything
To know that this gift was for me
I'm starting a band up
With a few of my friends
We want to become famous
Even if a few rules we bend
I started my singing career
When I was in grade one
I had a solo in the music concert
And boy, did I have fun!
That is when I knew,
I'll love music for all time
But these amazing talents
I'll have them always, they are mine!

A fab poem, smooth flow and great rhyme. You sound a lot like my son, who played his first festival last year. I wish all the luck for your future...go for it! Oh and good luck in the contest to!

That's a cute little poem you have there. I myself play a few insturments: sax, clarinet, piano, and viola. I've been singing since age of three. So...I share the love for music
