letter to my soldier

This letter is written to you
in the dead of night
as I sit here thinking of you dear
I try not to cry
as the hours tick by ever so slowly
and I miss you more with every striking of the hour
you are the world to me
and I try to be strong for your son
who is so tiny and fragile my love
he reminds me of you with every smile he bestows upon me
my heart aches to know you may never return home
but I want you to know that my heart and my soul will always be with you
you are forever in my thoughts and my prayers
and if only for one night I wish you were home
holding your son and loving his mother

I will love you forever dear
~your love~

Oh this is heart wrenching. I know more then most what it feels like to have loved ones, family members or close friends fighting in such untimely chaos. It’s so hard to go on knowing that you may not see them again. Yet we have to hold strong for the others as well. Such things are often hard to deal with and thank god for others that understand such pain. ’s. This was an amazing well done piece that portrays great longing and need for you love to come back home safe and sound.

I send my well wishes and prayers that he will once again return to you safe and sound.

Good luck with the contest as well!
    This was a great write!

    Keep up the faith!

First off, I wish your guy a safe return home.
Secondly, I like this piece, it was full of such sorrow and love at the same times. The words were sorrowful and you can tell you were very sorrowful when writing this, yet you bring forth so much love. I hope you did send this to him, because its a very good piece. Thank you for entering and best of luck to you in my contest, and with your guy =]
