I sought solace in work, and I found it
I sought solace in sleep, and I found it
I sought solace in sex, and I found it
I sought solace in food, and I found it
I sought solace in drink, and I found it
I sought solace in smoke, and I found it
I sought solace in art, and I found it
I sought solace in thought, and I found it
I sought solace in pain, and I found it
I sought solace in scorn, and I found it
I sought solace in G-d, and I found it
I sought solace in Void, and i found it
In all these things, and many more
I have found my solace
And besides that,
My joy, my suffering, energy, rest
My leaf, my sun, breeze, moon
My death, my birth, and endless disappointment
In all things I found this multitude,
This multivalent banquet of experience,
These ghosts that, in the night,
Scream upon my dreams
And only one thing I found lacking;
Certainty-
And this lack of certainty
Gave me great solace.

In one of my ye olde style moods, with the wine and the walking and the mumbling to myself all through the trees.
