We can believe it is truly gone
Or perhaps that it never existed at all
But every now and then
someone gets bitten
and passes it on
It can make heroes, lovers, or fools of us all
We can kill it
but it always comes back
Romance is a tenacious staggering unstoppable zombie.
Author notes
The line between life and death is so thin, I couldn't help myself. I had a hard time coming up with a title as to not give anything away. Thanks for reading.

Very interesting... Everyone has a different take on love and life ~ and yours is veryyyyy different. Hehe. And I liked it, it made sense and I could picture what you were saying in my mind... in a rather gruesome way ~ Love

Nice write

You've tapped into the nature of desire and need. I like how you've captured the importance of love subtly, without over dramatic cliché. The metaphor of love as a zombie is interesting and rings true. Also I admire the title, it's creative and hints to the content of the poem while not giving too much away.

Oh I totally agree with this... I like it a lot... and I think the title fits perfect with it without giving anything away.

I agree wholeheartedly... romance will never be truely dead.
