Looking out from my penthouse suite,
far beyond the city limits I see life.
Longing for the rurality that I left behind,
vegetable and flower gardens flourishing.
I recall mornings sitting in the breakfast nook,
as sun shone brightly through bay window.
Life's pace was much slower then,
no hustle or bustle,
no honking of horns or traffic jams.
Breathing the fresh air and knowing,
this is the life for me.
Why did I ever come to the city?

I grew up in the city and live in a rural area now. Unfortunately the city roads are finding their way everywhere. I guess I didn't move far enough. lol I'm glad you liked this and that you love living in the country. Thank you for the applause and your words so kind. They are greatly appreciated. Much love and blessings.
