I Scream, I Fight, I Promise

A loud scream echoes into eternity,
A scream that came from a broken heart,
From a tattered and worn out body,
Thats lays out across the floor.
This scream only comes from love.
I scream to be heard.
I scream to release these tears.
I scream in frustration,
And I scream in agony.
I scream when I awake from my nightmares,
About the loss of my other half
Nightmares where we say enough...
And fade into the darkness,
Which is where the lonely souls drift.
I fight for our love to be whole.
I fight for our peace and serenity.
I fight...because I love you,
I fight because I won't let you go.
I won't let you slip through my fingers,
Like delicate ribbon...always just out of reach.
I need you to love me,
Now.
Forever.
Tomorrow.
Today.
Yesterday.
I promise I won't let go.
I promise that we will prevail,
I promise...
That I will love you,
Now.
Forever.
Tomorrow.
Today.
Yesterday.

Author notes

This is not up for constructive criticism. I do not care what you think. I do not care if you like it. I post on here for my best friend to read and comment on this one. This one is personal. If you have crap to say then go away. This one is just painful enough already...

This is not for criticism.

    Hey.. first of all, hugs.
Next, this poem is really very deep and painful. Your words... really are magical... bring tears to the eyes. Makes the head meet the heart finally.
    My favorite part:
    "I scream to be heard.
I scream to release these tears.
    I scream in frustration,
    And I scream in agony.
I scream when I awake from my nightmares,
About the loss of my other half
    Nightmares where we say enough...
    And fade into the darkness,"

    Lovely write. Thanks for sharing.
