because of one little mistake
[it could have been easily prevented]
your daughter crying in the stirrups
but you just wanted to erase everything
the shame of the family finding out
would be too much for you
never mind the hurt you caused
the irreversible damage done
[you're so fucking selfish]
scrambled up
sucked out
blood soaking the hospital gown
remains dumped into a black bag
labled "biohazard"
to be tossed upon the heap
of babies never to know a mother's love
[it's just so much easier to blame you instead]

This is so wonderfully written but so sad. People are so selfish when they care more about their reputation than a life. It's horrible that anyone has to go through this. Great write.

That's sad when a parent forces a child to do something like this simply because they fear the shame it will bring on THEM... not worrying about the toll it will take on their daughter!!

My father is a minister and my sister got pregnant her senior year...my parents got a rude awekening of life, but it didn't make them ashamed of my sister or the incident, it only made us stronger... it is fucked up how alot of people run their mouth about pro-life, until it is something that might alter their social standards...it's sad when a position in the comunity is more important than a prescious young life...this was a very impressive poem...
