Entry # 16

I have an ebullient imagination
[especially if I wanted to try]
to join in this inane massacre
and be another piece of the pie

I figured with my timeless skill
and my odd liking to read braille
I can triumph in this diatribe contest
and I promise you I will prevail

I am starting to feel ambivalent
as this poem goes in progression
I thought I was pure genious
but I guess this leads to a confession

I'm a masochistic when writing,
I tend to make myself a prune
How could I figure I would last
My apathy has taken me too soon

If I can't decipher the cosmos,
with dissection being a grinch,
how can I learn the ways and connection
to make writing this poem a cinch?

I like the poem's flow, it hiccuped a bit here and there, but mainly I am distracted by all the 'I's ...

Best of luck to you in the contest!
