Nightly rendezvous

Pain forms with the intangible
Stroking that which irritates and agitates
Secrets thoughts so affable
Denying comfort,
Refuting closeness of intimacy
Yet
this vision of flawlessness
This facial beauty
Lips softly against your repudiation
Tongue tracing the lines of communication
Hiding behind a necessary admonition of legality

Reserving a point in time
Nightly rendezvous of desire
Softly caressing emotional reservation
Affirmation
Pleading with your lips upon mine
Pulling close to this source of desire
Biting sharply as passion grows obsessive
Regressive

Still, Fingers probe,
Pursuing answers to this informal reaction of denial
Past passions dove
Swimming to the shore reckoning
Gripping to the chance to be chosen,
accepting
While I accept the calluses from the labor of this pursuit
The strength of your character
Knowing whether

Love will caress the blemishes
Deemed only by you
Softly, gently
Admiring the view
Soothing this emotional pain
Free from ego, void of vain
While dreaming of a reality
that may never appear before me
seemingly
Existing not

Still
We shall meet
Accepted and greet
Within the confines of our minds and dreams
Once again In the
Still
Of the night

Author notes

When you meet at a point in space, time, hour, place and still wonder is it right or wrong. Is he or she who she really is and do they feel the same......about U

    Interesting

This is a poem that I am sure that many can relate too, you have penned a poem, that shows the thoughts that go through all of our minds at one point in time or another. When you meet someone often the thoughts in each of their minds are mirrored, unless they are just vain and selfcentered. This is an excellent write, but seems to be missing the end, what happen? Thank you for sharing and keep them coming.

It didn't end. It may go on and on. This is just a portion. So I left it open to further expansion. Thanks for the great comments.

You are truely talented. This was wonderful. Though the unsure feelings and pain were expressed, it still had the poetic jazz to it. Wonderful job.

    Excellent Writing

This deep soul searching throughts, put to verse in a very beauitful metaphoric way. I enjoyed the entire read. Your last line got me, it one of my favorite songs from long ago. In the still of the night! You're not old enough to know that song; sung by the Ink Spot when I first heard it..,Mom

Now mom, I put that out there because I remembered that song. It rolled right to that feel of a lonely, silent night. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I felt good with this one. Thank you ~ your son

A thought provoking poem dear poet,it has depth and currents that flow with the rush of a fast river, the exploration of whether what may be mirrored is true or seen to be true,it's a tricky tangent and yet one that seems worth travelling. NB perhaps Knowing whether may be instead unknowing whether? Just a thought.

Ahem (clearing the lump from my throat)

This is the most Beautiful Poem I have read in a long time, when I saw full of raw emotions and true feelings are in over load! Absolutely Stunning
Good luck, what a wonderful selection you've penned here
    My most favorite part:

Gripping to the chance to be chosen,
    accepting
While accept the calluses from the labor of this pursuit
    The strength of your character
    Knowing whether

    Love will caress the blemishes
    Deemed only by you
    ...and it goes on.

    Much love for this Michael
