The great amber
eye cat stalks
between
a jungle;
tall grasses,
dishes of milk,
sardines and kibble.
Its heart roars
Wildness !!
while stretching
in the warming sun.
A resting
curled
little bit of fur
purring loudly
upon my back porch;
“...tame me, if you dare.”

I am sorry to know that your cat passed away my friend. I know that pets are special members of the family. Your fond memories of this little creature as written in this poem are warm and tenderly embrace the heart of the reader.
My dog has cancer. She had surgery in November and is doing pretty good, although she has caught a terrible cold, and coughs so hard it hurts me. She is 12 years old and is probably in the winter of her life. A beautiful poem of love that stretches across the plain of unconditional.
