getting in touch with my inner bitch...

her new desk calendar
hides beneath the to-do-pile
that towers
precariously;
some
what
un-
safely
while she writes poetry
and looks out of the window
at the rush hour traffic

she admits she has cheated

[as with the dieting]

and leafed
through the year

grinning [or grimacing]

 at the daily scriptures

that intone her to be tougher;

stronger, funnier....

Tuesday, February 26th

is a day to look forward to:

"knowledge is of no value unless

you put it into practice"

   - Anton Chekhov

Your Inner Bitch suggests you continue to practice

saying "I don't think so" today

Author notes

my boss gave me a desk calendar - she thinks i am too empathic and nice and that i need to get in touch with my inner bitch! the inner bitch is a strong woman who says what she thinks feels wants - i like that about her!

We all need to let that inner bitch out sometimes, otherwise she'll eat us alive if we keep her locked in.

    Nicely done Elaine.

      thank you Mary
it WAS a hit and run!
i have decided that being spontaneous is a good thing this year - see it -feel it -do it! the "buy it" has been expensive... may need to work on that one a bit or i will be bankrupt
i have never been the first to enter a contest - i am glad yours popped up on my screen as i logged on last night and i went with the flow...
thank you for the accolade too, i like shiny things they make me smile ... now where is that jewellry catalogue again...

      mmm maybe not!

Wow, I think there is about a fifty percent of the female population that gets in touch with their inner bitch quite often. Although 100 percent get in touch with their inner bitches once a month for a good portion of their lives. Great job on this, I liked the idea of having an "inner bitch".

lol. My boss calls me sweetly bitchy. lol.
Want some lessons? You don't have to be blantant
just say it with a smile. Works for me, course most
of my customers are inebriated, so that probably doesn't hurt. And rush hour in my town consists of three people on the sidewalk at the same time, and 2 passing cars.

I loved this glimpse of your day-to-day life, and you look perfect to me, so go eat some cake!!!

    Life's too short.

I think it takes considerable talent to pull off a humorous poem, and you did that really well here. This is awesome, wonderful topic matter so many can relate to, catching title, love this! - aM

hah. i love your boss. this is delightful. i used to have a much tighter grasp on my inner bitch, then apathy made me lose touch. it's so much easier just to "yeah, yeah" and go along. hmm.... maybe today is an "i don't think so" kind of day.
