Two Faced

I know not what hides behind that mask,
Of polite comments, barbed and violent.
Yet I answer all that you care to ask,
Knowing, yet not, your true intent.
Do you like me, hate me, despise me?
I cannot tell but only feel,
The shallow warmth and not reality.
You maintain your mask with dignity and zeal;
Yet I stand before you with face uncovered,
In a world of truth, only I have discovered.

Please tell me what you think

    Wow..

    This was great!
    Some people can be such an ass, and some really dont even know what they are doing, or how they make u feel.

    But anyway this was good... do u write from personal experiences?

      I have to say the only poem I've written from experience was 'Faultless' being about an ex as it was. Most of the rest might be loosely characterised as thoughts or memorials.

      Thank you for the kind comment and I apologise for the delay in my response.
