Loneliness is a cold place...

It’s cold in this place
A chilly wind blows through
The wind’s voice is silent
Yet screams, painful to my ears

Cries for help echo back at me
Accusing, from walls that aren’t there.
Emptiness starring, confronting as
the icy air catches
my throat and I expel
silent painful screams.

It’s cold in this place
A chilly wind blows through
My own voice is silent
Yet screams, painful to my heart

My cry for friendship
Falls on deaf ears
Laughing, putting me down.
No one to listen and I’m desperately
lonely once more.
Icy silence mocks me
Unheard, unwanted,
Am I destined to be alone?
Alone forever?
