Little Me

Hello little me, dressed in yellow
Do you know you'll one day have a fellow?
He'll be so sweet and loving, too
and he'll want to be with you

He'll buy you lots of glitter rings
and buy you roses in the spring
He'll hold on the coldest nights
And maybe get in a few fights

Through and through, he loved you most
You found yourself, though, misdiagnosed
He will one day find out he needs a break
He'll leave you full of bitter heartache

You'll write poetry down in little books
You'll start to give others saddened looks
Maybe one day he'll love you once more
But the answer to that, I'm really not sure

Author notes

My bf recently broke up with me so I would warn her to expect a very hard break up.. and to just be strong

Interesting choice as to what you'd what to do with a second chance but nicely expressed nonetheless

What a sad poem. Though it is very
thought provoking for what message would
we give ourselves if we could go back and
do that. great job on this one.

This is lovely. It made me smile at first and then frown. Good use of imagery.
