Looking out over a landscape bleak
Tis tranquility and peace I seek
And there before me majestic and tall
Natures frozen waterfall
Magically shining in fading light
The day sky giving way to night
To feel my toes and fingers numb
To dream away, what dreams may come
Where once water had run it's course
With a mighty rushing force
Now ice cavens fill a mighty space
Across a rocky mountain face
Falling silently echoing laughter
A haunted house where once was water
The night grows dark and now is cold
As it's beauty calls out to my soul

Lovely piece, there is some great imagery and emotion here. This poem even has the slow feeling of winter and peace and sleepiness. I think you have captured the winter here. Thank you for entering and keep on writing!
