Dismembering members
My body dissipates
For my memory threatens to remember
All the horrid feelings I anticipate
Things long gone
Have now returned
A presence forever strong
Evil incarnate, deep within burns
Fists clenched, gritting teeth
I hear my heart drumming
What lies beneath
Is my unbecoming
The pinball of fear
Ricochets on my blackened insides
All good in me disappears
As the pain eats me alive
My skin begins to unravel
As the black seeps through
The threads of my soul settle on the gravel
As the last of me becomes unglued
Inexplicable is my exasperation
While the Novocain of evil is numbing
Degradation only leads me to desperation
Closer to my unbecoming
Unbelievable; this is my reality
My fantasy breaks down as I cry
As brutality meets fatality
Impending; I may die
As the battle ends, I can’t let go
Crippled by disdain
The fear in my eyes shows
And the moons of my pupils wane
The one thing I’ve fought to destroy
Awakens to the summoning
Of the paranoia I can’t avoid
My unbecoming
Author notes
Trying to repel the darkness of my past from resufacing.

In Control Of Your Own Destiny
Anyone who can so aptly control his words as in this piece of poetry has nothing to fear for his future. It is almost a given that with your now understanding of past situations ... you have learned. Great write here poet and love the word plays throughout this one. You have written in unbalanced and unrhymed quatrains and done so beautifully. Fantastic write!!!
