It's everywhere
What was once
only a visitor
to the sick and
elderly or to a
chosen recipient
to their fate,
has now, become
a famed sport; death
Depression
Anger
Hurt
Pain
Razor
Sharp
Cut
Tear
Relief
So easy to run
from the ache
and seek solace
in a stinging
substitution,
a place to go
and escape, that
even comes with
an epidermic souvenir
Everyone that is
anyone is doing it,
so join the crowd,
wear your scars with
the pride of knowing
you succeeded in
finding an emotional
portal, and you're
not hurting anyone...
...are you?

...No, I am not bashing those who do it, sadly, I have the mark on my wrist, as well. It just seems that alot of youth do it, just because it's cool, not for suicidal or crying out for help purposes, but because so and so is doing it...the latest fad...

If someone does it so they can fit in, is it not still a problem showing a sort of emotional crying out? If someone is that desperate to fit in ... it is a problem. New jeans or a baby fhat jacket or DKs would be simpler I think.
