Moon Wine

A rivulet of moonlight leaked
through the window catching a cheekbone
a silver stone danced by the stream, glancing
off the buttons of your blouse making each a pebble
to be caught in the hand. Then, the sands parted before
stone slipped away  to fall in silken magic across the bed.

My fingers, quicksilver sliding from the bud of lips
rise of chin, down the sluice way of the neck, I rode
the white water foam of moon light between the rising
swell across the flutter of belly -- the rich flesh of promise
the rising flash of rapids danced in Erato’s music
as Selene played with our senses, until laughter poured
through the white waters and our hands clutched each
others belts for safety as we leaned back. Spinning around
our moonlight spot,  dancing, dancing till we stood still
the universe smeared around us. Glowing with the pale
moon’s fires, we tumbled to the ground, a puddle --
otter madness on a slippery bank. Tugging at our roots.

The bark of levi’s shredded in joy as we gleefully gamboled
over flesh twined with a magical moon of plaited delights.
The cave of shadows drew us together as gyrations and celebrations
cascaded across covers and we breathed flesh and bone filled
hot madness scattered ‘round passion’s feathered flight.

Your finger silenced my lips. Your eyes, moon full of light,
brought kisses that rained upon my shores till I was drenched
muddy and molded to your form. The wild weave of you
threaded around in silver twine caught the last splash of moon light
cast open the hollow darkness of the vanishing stream along
your legs. My hands divined the mystery of energy from toe to thigh
listened to the wind suddenly cry from the tree tops. The elastic
stretched out into the moment and veil fell from the shrine. We
knew, we were leaving foot prints in granite.

Volcanoes rise out of the crash and grind of continental plates
give curve and fold to earth as mountains climb towards stars.

We watched each others hands -- moths attracted to the light --
swirl on the new earth. Revelations of promise, born again
in the caverns of each chambered heart, rubies caught growing.
Tender, we are the ancient young, full of the knowledge.
Our past shed, we kissed the whorls of our identities, traced
the masks of our faces, felt the waters that rose out of us.
We let our breath blow the embers of moon light
into fires. We forged tomorrows that eternity could not erode.

The moon set during the burning.
No night was ever again the same.

    Absorbs all of your attention!

This poem is absolutely stunning! Your words were weaved into such an incredible flow, very very impressive. The content of the poem was not lacking anything. It was beautiful, it was descriptive by "Showing, not telling", it was absolutely riveting! (to say the least!!) However, I am not surprised at such talent because you are a very strong poet throughout your collection of poetry. Wonderful, well done job!

Thanks for the compliment. I am like any artist constantly aware of how it is just not quite as perfect as i want. It is good to be reminded that I might be getting somewhere. I just hope that I can continue to create pieces that move and touch.

This is an exploration, like many of my poems. By taking the time to sit quietly and let the feelings and thoughts resonate and rise up through flesh and vision, I arrive at the door way to the poem. Then it is only searching for the words to share what I know in a way to make it live in the hearts and flesh of others.
      Thanks, Tom B.

    No words ...

My dearest, TomB---you know that you & I have always talked life, love, pursuit of happiness....the life philosopher....you have soared way beyond great planes with this sensual piece, from the physical description of the art and love of seduction to each fluid like expression of the heart, soul...how you have meshed delicacy with raw intensity of passion and hearts desire has made this piece true art...Absolutely breathtaking, a masterpiece, uncomparable...words at a loss right now...I just keep reading and re-reading and breathing it in, locking it away in my soul, to revisit over and over and let your words, the tone, wash over me and caress my essence.....Exemplary Mister! This just takes my breath away.....I can hear the tone of your voice....the expressions from deep in the heart as your soul sweetly sings this to the masses....Get published....autograph me a copy! All my love to you my dearest friend.....Julie

I can only laugh at this reply and nonchalantly say, "Watch out for the next one"

I am, of course, covering for my discomfort with the praise. Yes, I am a philospher, visionary, sage about the human condition and most of all the path of love. Then, you express, an ecstatic response to the layers of vision that I have folded and tucked into the words. Your joy and melding with what you have discovered and still have to see is incredibly tender and vulnerable and makes me feel blessed.

Publish? Yes, I am looking at what I have to do to get a poem published here and there. Entering a book into a contest or two and in the end hopefully there will be a book that I can say so and so published and you can buy, or give me your address 'cause for all your support and love you do deserve the gift of a copy.

      Love, Tom B.

There was a part of this poem that hit me... watched each others hands. The hands are most sensual. They hold our fantasies... they hold our dreams... they are our source of touch. They will tell our story... without need for words. this is a great piece my dear love... a great piece of poetry here!! Thanks for sharing it with me

I wish my words of comment could grasp such beauty. If actions can speak better than words, I most definitely want to see that act!

Being a minimalist at heart, I needed to take a couple days to digest this masterpiece. Your spun delight and savored intimacy weaves throughout. Each stanza, a deeper breath taken.

This intimacy type of style is something I'd love to attempt, but may be too self-conscious to try, yet. I am working on that wall ... heh

    But,

Each breath I take, you take a bit more ... truly fabulous.

First: Thank you -- The whole review is a wonderful compliment.

Second: I let the message and the need of expression choose the style. I write the occasional haiku and minimalist piece in an effort to capture the essence fittingly. This dance needs a larger room, I feel. It requires the honesty of expression and a eye that is willing to look unflinchingly at everything. If there is shame, lust, envy it must be exposed. This is about catching the purest expression of passion and coming together as possible. Where each and every part of God's gift is celebrated.

      Peace & Light,
      Tom B.

this has so many beautiful metaphors in sensuality and comparison to the freedom and playfulness of nature's creatures and nature itself.....that the poem reads as if a moment of ecstasy in time----------lovers did become a part of the Universe [such as I think we are and do anyway] It is therein that we find our deepest and rawest feelings and emotions. There is absolutely nothing offending as you may have thought. I do not think you could offend if you tried......you only pull the reader into the circle of that of which you write.
I do hope it was filmed up to standards...if so please send info,

Thank you for taking the journey with me. The more we allow ourselves to recognize the human is just a machine for operating in this universe and the being is who we truly are, the more we wake up and surrender our discussion of what just happened to live in the moment of what is happening, the more we are alive, vibrant and available for all the magic we thought impossible.
      You are welcome.

When we are grounded, when we are not an arguement with the universe, love becomes an invitation to allow joy to be the river we fish in. Our minds stilled, we see the world in all of it glory.

Breathtakingly Beautiful!, written with metaphor and passion beyond words. "Your finger silenced my lips. Your eyes, moon full of light, brought kisses that rained upon my shores till I was drenched muddy and molded to your form. I've been there, my foot prints are embedded in granite and it's the greatest feeling in the world to find that special bond between two people, yet I could never have written it with the passion of this piece. Now, my comments made, I have a question?

Will you marry me?...that is, after I divorce of course

    Stunning Write Very Erotic

My goodness you fullfilled this quote! I love every line of passion, it was the kiss, then the removal of jeans, rocked me. My favorite lines were:

This is a wonderful gift of a comment. It shows how much we are never truly alone and how much we all have to share. Send me a link to the poem. I will stop and review it soon. Your joy only helps to multiply my own.
      Love, Tom B.

I love the magic. I love the way that hearts are forever opened to one another and when we are still quiet in the moment we realize that the love has never disappeared. Take care my friend.
      Love, Tom B.
