I. Diana
I saw your death floating
like phantasmic prisms;
creatures of nightmares
that crawled in the corners
of my room late at night.
They whispered ghastly words
and showed me scene of death,
rows of stained skulls glittering
like rubies in candlelight.
Grisly heads turn slowly
on delicately splintered pikes,
phantoms of smiles etched on them.
"I told you the reaper was coming
that the fever was more than the flu."
II. Beba
The angels fought and skies clashed
while rain slid down shattered windows
and breezes froze aching limbs.
The car made a warm coffin
where it was so easy to just drift off.
"We never really left anything unspoken
except what happened in your past.
I wish you had told me about your parents
and your life.
Then maybe you'd be more than a faded sketch."
III. Nana
Trembling hands dried dying tears
that stained soft cotton blue.
The pain of bedsores unbearable.
Eyes clouded, forgotten memories
just out of earthly grasp.
Impaired movement and arthritic fingers
cannot dial phones.
"I wish I had been there to hold your hand
and watch all the pain end. I love you."

Good luck.
