Take my hand
And walk with me
And tell me who you love
So you can see
The first star from above
Ya ever feel so deep and lost
Somewhere in the past?
Is it wrong to hold on
If nothing ever lasts?
Chorus:
Maybe nothing lasts forever
Not the mountain or the seas
But the times we have together
They will always be with me
The sun goes down and the wind is calm
As it gently fades away
I wonder then and I think of you
And how nothing ever lasts
Chorus:
Maybe nothing lasts forever
Not the mountain or the seas
But the times we have together
They will always be with me
Take my hand
And walk with me
And tell me who you love
So you can see
The first star from above
(Chorus)

That's not a bad lyric set to music it could turn out to be a good song. Happy trails.

My first impression was, "oh no, a love song, please don't be awkward."
But, it was good. I like the reasoning in the chorus. It's like, "let's be happy, even though we are fading to death."
The verse after the first chorus is my favourite. The first two lines in it is really good imaginery in my eyes. And with the two last lines you just "bring the verse home"
Good write, keep it up!
(By the way: Keep up activity in United Songwriters of America group!)

Awesome!!
I read this like a power ballad, and the chorus was just amazing!! "Maybe nothing lasts forever..." Just, AWESOME.
