Innocently, all things happen.
Not even born, and already dead...
The little baby in the womb
Confused
Unconsciously conscious
Already in a tomb
Terrible days; while everyone cries
Watching durt dug into a hole,
Miniature casket carried inside
Covered in flowers, from people who loved
Poor father, witshing to die
Mother, blaming herself while both cry
Millions of relatives, from near and far
Covered in tears and clothes so black...
The mom and dad, finally home
Go to the room prepared for the child
Mother breaks into tears once again,
Father holds her, and tries to be strong
Fails, crying hysterically, both
Asking themselves why, just why
No other question up in their mind.
Days pass by, now everything is gone
Books never read, and clothes never used,
Given away, or simply thrown out.
Tuesday, Father gets home from work
To find the mom torn on the empty floor
Still crying, so confused, so destroyed.
3:00 in the morning, awake on her bed
He kisses her cheek and softly says
"Things just happen, and when they're done
Nothing you do, or I, or them, can ever reverse it..."
Lying awake, they both shed a tear
Quietly hoping the other can't hear...

This is a pain untouchable
If the parents can keep it together the have it made many times God will later replace the empty void. Some friends of ours went through this. Our daughter-in-law later had a baby.I asked she would let them hold the baby. Peace was in the air 9 months later the had a new baby The peace that was then shared was greatly seen. The mom later said she was so glad to feel what a baby felt like from our grandchild. i told her we could see this as she held the child the husband said he sae it and felt fear for a while with doubt id things would change. They did for the better they have three little ones 2 girls and a boy. I felt a blessing had been given. I pray one will be given to your family time will heal all wounds with God's love This is a hard pain to heal.

so sad
Excellent piece, so sorry about your cousin but maybe writing can ease the pain. This poem can help so many in knowing they're not alone. Unfortunately, you're right, sometimes things just happen.. -
