Big Baby

Alone you sit,
Surrounded by guards,
Beating on our freedom,
Until it's broken to shards,

Like a child with toy,
Refusing to share,
It is us you annoy,
But you don't seem to care,

Your ideas seem,
To be written in crayon,
So sloppy the green,
Slowly fades into tan,

You are trying for daddy,
To show him your grown,
While we suffer badly,
For the tantrum you've thrown,

Seeing our nation,
As a Lego tower,
Slowly picking off the pieces,
To steal it's sweet power,

But once your bored with us,
You discover another place,
You tell them all to 'hush',
For they are a different race,

You grant them some freedom,
While doing your worst,
You hope you can keep them,
In the claws of your curse,

You throw over loved ones,
None of yours I presume,
And give them all guns,
Introduce them to doom,

Separations you stretch,
Way past the line,
You tell us three years,
Looks to be closer to nine,

They do not belong there,
Rather here in thier homes,
So just give up your chair,
And leave us alone.
