Every rose has a scent
and beauty all it's own.
Long has it been desired
flower of choice for love.
Sentimental is this bloom
held in such high esteem.
Tributes have been paid
and treasured it's always been.
Roses can make you smile,
just by gazing at them.
Fat bumblebees can't resist,
buzzing, singing to the flower;
of love and tenderness
such a wondrous bower.
Wild roses or cultivated
each have their space.
In hearts,minds and souls
their loveliness may fade.
Somehow scent lingers on
reminding us of natures bounty.
A blossom of joy it's always been
and forever will be.

i love roses...
youve definitely captured the sentimentality and joy associated with them. i think sentimental was the perfect word to use - it is kinda weird that roses have been singled out as the flower of love - but youve also very well affirmed their beauty.
simple write with a lovely flow and capture of mood.
