She sits upon the railing
The one that lines the bridge
Throwing apple seeds and peaches
At the twilight in the sky
Pondering the water
Every drop of the ol' deep blue
Does it hurt?
Will she cry?
How long will it take for her to die?
Is it instant?
Or is it long?
Will people notice when she is gone?
She whispers fears into the sky
For this is her one last goodbye
Don’t be sorrow
Cause there’s no tomorrow
Don’t feel shame
For no one person is to blame
Just toast with wine
For it is time
Don’t try to stop her
It’s way too late
She’s already at st. Peters gate
All she wanted was to be loved
But all you did was hit and shove
You pushed her in corners
And squeezed her in cracks
Everyone jus turned their backs
She’s now in white
Headed toward that blinding light
Don’t get mad
And don’t be sad
She’s gone away
So go out and play
Don’t act like you care
Please don’t you dare
When she was here you kicked her around
And slammed her face into the ground
You were her friends, at least she thought
She didn’t understand how you all forgot
You missed her smile, and never caught her grin
With you she never could quite win
You made up a bunch of crap
And told everyone behind her back
You threw her away
Almost every day
You talked her down
When your friends were around
With every friend she every had
Things always turned out really bad
She was always depressed
And such a mess
No one saw into her mind
For they were all terribly blind
But now she’s passed
So go to class
Don’t say you never saw it coming
Don’t act like you never knew
Don’t make things all about you
You killed her
And everyone should know
Before it is her time to go
You had the chance to save her
You had the power to cure
To heal her broken heart
That you smashed apart
You never tried to break the lock
So now she’s in a box
Buried 6 feet under ground
No longer to be found
No longer to smile
No longer to run mile upon mile
No longer to dance
You lost your chance
To see
How amazing she would be
You lost
And look what its cost
She’s away
No longer to go outside and play
She’s dead
No longer to b wed
She’s gone
No longer to hear that happy song
She’s finally saying goodbye
And asking you not to cry
Just attend her wake
Things are only as hard as you make
Just remember her
And never forget
That she was always there for you
Too bad you can’t say that too
This is her one last final goodbye
For it is time for me to die

Welcome to AllPoetry
This was such a long piece, I'm not sure it's possible to keep wonderful rhyme going that long, it got a little lost in spots, maybe a little editing, take out the repetative parts and it will pack so much more of a ounch to the reader
We hope you enjoy your time here at All Poetry

This is one LLOOOONNNNGG poem. (but good)
It's a shame to have someone in your life die. Some parts sounded a little strained, almost as if you were just looking for something to rhyme. This is sad (don't get me wrong), but if maybe if you threw in some of your thoughts or told it from your perspective it would've had me crying like a little kid. Still, good job. -
... I'm at a loss for words. All I can say is I had tears in my eyes by the end. So sad, yet so beautifully written.
