When you told me you loved me,
I thought it was then I knew,
that, that thing that we called "love"
was strong and bright and true
A greater wrong no man could do
then take me to the place you took me to,
and look me in the eye and say,
"Someday, I'll marry you."
As we lied there in the dew,
Do you remember, that I gave it all to you?
Or is it all forgotten now
and oh so hard to find,
in the deep, dark recesses,
of your twisted mind?
Is it only present now,
in a broken woman's dreams?
Or, is it too, in anguish,
that your heart, it screams?
When you see me,
I need to know,
do you think of me,
or no?
When you told me you loved me,
I thought it was then I knew,
that, that thing that we called "love"
was strong and bright and true
Once again,
I say to You,
You've done the greatest wrong,
a man could ever do
to take me to the place you took me to,
and look me in the eye and say,
"Someday, I'll marry you."
I left my heart with you,
in the last kiss that we would share
and now I sit, and cry and scream
in utter, lost despair

Some people just have no hearts. I can understand the way you must feel. Lies cut the deepest when you want to believe they are true. The raw emotion in this poem amazed me. Best of luck.

This was beautifully accomplished. I feel your emmense pain, and know how it feels. I've had someone do that similar thing to me also. I absolutly love the rhyming scheme, it worked perfectly...Better than i could ever dream of doing myself. Your a great writer and i hope your grief ends soon.
