I know it must be hard without me there to hold you tight
To tell you that i love you and that it will be alright.
With all that you've been through i just need you to be strong.
And please dont blame yourself because you sure did nothing wrong.
What happened to me that day, was a simple act of fate
and when you get to heaven ill be waiting by the gate
My baby girl, i miss you more than you will ever know,
But no matter what you think, it was time for me to go.
You were Daddys little girl, and that is how you will stay
Though you cannot see my face, i watch you every day
I always smile when you smile and i do cry when you cry,
But think of me as somewhere else, and that i didnt die.
Everytime you look up and see the twinkle of a star,
That is me shining down, im always close to where you are.
When the wind blows through the trees i am running at your side,
I feel much more alive now, its as though i never died.
Please do not worry because again you will see me smile
It may be some years from now, but the wait will be worthwhile,
Im sorry angel, that i left behind the life i had,
I love you and i miss you so much, always, from your dad.
Author notes
That title made me think of someone in heaven, ive had a couple of people die, but i chose to do it from my dads point of view hope you like.
