A True Blessing

a pillow from Mama
for your dreams to freely flow
a blanket made from Nana's heart
keeping your belly warm

twinkles in your eyes
from the stars above
a precious gift from God
filling our lives with love

cotton candy and rainbows
such a sight to see
pony rides and carousels
just a few of life's surprises

tiny and tender my darling dear
longing the day we play
giving my best to you I vow
a solemn pledge of sisterly love

a true blessing
locked in my heart forevermore
though sibling rivalry may occur
always remember I love you

This is wonderful, I love the sweet tale. I'm still reading entries, so I can't put which place yet, but I'm sure I'll come back to this one.

Great write, best of luck in the contest.

I think that is a sweet picture. Congrats on your gold trophy in a previous contest. I hope there is sisterly love between the two people in the picture.

    Excellent write

This is truly an excellent piece you have written.
It was so easy to read and understand.
I came from a large family with lot's of Sibling rivalry. We did then and still do say "I LOVE YOU"
The first two lines just set this apart for me.
You deserve to place in this contest.
    I vote you the "GOLD"

Such a darling picture served to inspire writers in this contest. Liked the flow, and story told in the lines of your poem. easy to read and understand as well.
