She never wears makeup: for looks aren't so important
She respects herself and has high moral values
We connect on a spiritual level,
There's no discord in our thoughts.
A Godly ordained love...
She has an inner beauty that few do posses
She would do anything for the man she loves
And expects the same in return.
She is there to please and wishes only to be pleased
She never swears, the words of her mouth
Reflect the beauty of her mind
She does not desecrate her tongue with filth.
Her words are of a most grand eloquence!
Money has no value, the gold has rusted...
A career is a career, but it can never be life
Life is about happiness, life and love are one and the same
I am all she needs or wants, and she is all I need or want
We wish only to be in one another's presence
Even in absence of one another,
Our love for one another does not change
For we do not change; we are who we are
And that is all we can be.
She is perfect in all ways in my eyes, and so am I in her eyes
We would each gladly sacrifice our own happiness for the other
But it would not really be a sacrifice at all anyway:
For how can we be unhappy when we see the other happy?
Our happiness feeds upon the happiness of one another.
My love, promise me two things:
First of all, promise me that you will be you
For it is you whom I love above all else
I put my life to the side, it has lost its value
My mission in life is to be of service to you
My one and only wish is for your happiness!
All family ties aside, you are the only one whom I care for!
And second of all, promise me your love for now and evermore...

Author notes
What can I say? The title kind of speaks for itself: it is a description of the ultimate love. This was not written about anyone I know though.

If only this type of love was truly the norm in the heart of man, what a different worlds this would be. I think everyone desires to be loved in this way. Beautiful write and thank you for entering.

Definently a good topic, I liked the presentation you have for your poem. It almost reads like a fairytale. I like the way the guy in the poem put his love before himself. I think thats probably the most romantic idea that still exists. Its a great piece. Good Luck ~peace

Oh wow! That truly is the ultimate love! Excellent! I especially, of course, adored those last two clinching lines at the end; quite extraudinary; a powerful, eloquent finish. This is the depiction of a truly perfect and powerful love, bound so taughtly, it can never be broken. The sort of person one can imagine living the rest of his or her days with. Incredible write; scripted right from the soul, with great insight. Lovely, well done!
