Silent Watch

Missing image
Desert sky watches,
golden summer moon soothes sands,
blends nights together.

Author notes

Original water colour by myself

I have Adobe, but I cannot put the text on the picture and save as JPG. GGrrr

I wish I could 'blend' the different coloured people together as this poem does the nights with a soothing continuity. If the sky can watch, while the moon soothes and blends, then why do I perceive the nature of this man in the painting different from myself?

Now I am going to try to use PAINT to get my picture right.

This painting captured my attention very much. It is unique and I see why you had a problem to choose the place for haiku text. Very nice water color.

    Scores:
    Picture (painting) quality:
It is hard to talk about painting's quality, this is unique art and I only can score its visibility. I see that you put a lot of effort to scan it: 9,8

    Text layout:
Maybe if it was a bit bigger than text will be easier to read: 9

    Haiku: 10

    Total scores:28,8 of 30

    Nice done.

This didn't need the text or blends within the picture, it was descriptive in itself.Very well written, best of luck in the contest

You painted a masterpiece from your masterpiece. Short and succinct your words captured the essence of the artwork beautifully. How peaceful and serene the feeling and imagery that flowed from this piece. I was caught up in the elegance of the nights blending. Thank you for sharing this with all of us and best wishes in the contest. It's lovely. Love and God bless, Joyce
