Like sunlight through the foliage
in Autumn
It trickles through barely
but is there

like love for you is in other souls
Don't blow out the candle
cause the noise is crowding your mind
cause you can't see what is being left behind
Hate is brittle like winter twigs
and love is that unbreakable bough
high upon the tree
Nightmares only cease for better dreams
The gleam in your eye will return
A flame of hope will begin to burn
If you only keep the candle burning
you might just light another
then another...

One just has to keep their faith and hopes alive and all will become possible.

and it's worth keeping the candle lit. i've come close to snuffing my own in the past, and i can tell you that i'm glad i didn't. i've learned so much, i've learned how to protect my flame, my soul, my heart. i've learned how to grow and connect with positive life affirming influences. i've learned how to live.
we begin life as seeds beneath the snows, and one day the snows melt and we take root, rise up and blossom. but we have to be willing to withstand the winter and hold out for spring. spring will come.
