Allpoetry to Me

One night in September when deep in pain
As I sat and wrote of my sadness again
I thought of my children that I love dear
To leave them my words so my feeling are clear

That even in pain and sometimes in thought
I love them so much but not as much as I ought
I found this great site to put it all in
To share all my troubles with my family again

I know in my silence they don't understand
They see my tears and don't think that I can
But the pain of my loss is so hard to bare
It would be even harder if they weren't there

And I know they cant see me smile
the vail of tears covers me for a while
But in my heart they bring me such joy
They keep me alive my baby girl and boy

So when they read this I want them to know
That even in sorrow I still love them so
This site is a blessing for people like me
Who cant say the words but need emotions to be free

Here I can write and let it all out and keep it safe
so there is no doubt this is what I am really about
Thanks ALL-poetry for being there with like
minded people when I need to share.

Beautiful. Simply beautiful. I first joined the site by the suggestion of a friend, and writing is my emotional outlet. Congrats on the silver that you got with this poem and thanks for entering my contest! Good luck! -Liz

This site has been a blessing to me as well. When my Mom died my life was insane. I changed in so many ways and most of it I did not understand.

Poetry became therapy. In so many ways. Without my writing I have no idea where I would be now. And some of the people here, though most I have never met have been Angels sent from heaven above. One in particular, owlishhunter. I met him on here Jan. 2007. By May I was in love. I have now been in FL. with him since Sep. of last year and each day I seem to be more in love.

I am happy that you have found such a wonderful place to let your feelings flow. Never stop!

    Hugs,
    Tisha

Your poem is certainly beautiful, and I'm glad you joined too. I'm not quite sure what it has to do with writer's block, but okay. I hope you find your writing a way to get the tears to dry up. I hope you find solace,
    Best wishes to you,
    Jin

This is a really beautiful poem about why so many of us need the community that we have here, and a great example of the things that we can write.
Thankyou for entering and good luck

A lovely tribute to a much needed creative outlet.
Keep writing- it will keep you sane- or at least make the journey through grief's valley a little less dark.
    Good luck in the contest.
