I dream every single night,
Tis for one thing that I pray,
The day so far from me,
The thirteenth of May
I dream my husband gets out of jail
to be the man he was,
I dream of what he has become,
The system has no cause
I dream of breaking him out,
Him walking in the air,
I taste his lips and whisper
sweet nothings in his ear
Yet mornings bring my empty bed
although I reach for him,
I dream that every day for him
was not so grey and dim

The wishes of hope in the dream of things you may not be able to change. The senses of how you feel and the vision of what you see, if only...wanting more than the dream. Tender write, thanks for entering.

empty bed...
Wistful dreams that echo wistful yearnings my friend! Reality can be so bleak that it is only when we dream we can escape! Well done. Good luck in the contest!
