Twenty Questions!

~1~ How are You ?
I'm in a state of sadness and confusion. In other words, hello, I'm a teenager.

~2~ How many years have you wrote poetry?
I've written poetry since I was a kid. However, I suppose you could say I got "serious" about two years ago.

~3~ What is your favorite genre to write in?
Love. It fascinates and haunts me (though mostly the latter). I have so many thoughts about it that I have to let them out or risk spontaneous combustion.

~4~ What is your favorite form to write in?
I usually don't write in form, but I enjoy the challenge of a villanelle or pantoum with repeating lines.

~5~ Do you like rhyming poetry or non-rhyming poetry?
I used to strictly write rhyming poetry, but now it just depends on my mood. As far as reading, I usually prefer free verse, unless the poet rhymes really well (as in... if I see "life" rhymed with "strife" or "love" with "dove," I'm not impressed).

~6~ Who is your favorite AP poet? Give me link to your favorite poems of their's.
Oh, wow. I haven't really been on AP that long, but just from reading here and there, these are the ones that stand out to me:
Dalaney
Cupcrazy
jimmy20johns
Laura Lamarca

~7~ Who is your favorite published Poet writer, such as Poe, Dickinson?
I'm a great fan of E.E. Cummings. I am of the personal opinion that he was a genius. If I'm ever half as good as he was, I'll be content.

~8~ Who do you think has bettered their written the most here at AP?
As I said before, I haven't really been on AP that long or really gotten to know anyone here. I know that I have learned a lot, though, and my writing is much better for it.

~9~ Who inspired you to write, and why?
No one really inspired me to write, though many have encouraged me along the way. It was mostly an instinctual thing with me; it's something I've done for as long as I can remember.

~10~ When you are out and about have you seen something that makes you want to hurry home and write about it?
No; I carry a notebook in my purse which I whip out and scribble away in at random moments!

~11~ Where do you feel the most comfortable writing?
I like to write in my computer room, alone, with the door shut. I also sometimes write in my bedroom (...alone, with the door shut).

~12~ Do you write all of your poems in a journal as well as on the net?
Actually, most of my poems DON'T go on the net. I have them saved as a document on my computer (which is also saved on a floppy disk) and I print the latest pages off from time to time.

~13~ Are you a published poet, If so how many books have you written?
Not really. As a kid, a couple of my poems were published in anthologies, but that's as far as I've gone with it.

~14~ Do you publish for fun or for money?
If I ever did publish my poems, it would be for neither fun nor money. It would be so that people would remember me.

~15~ What is the longest you ever went with out writing?
If you're only talking about after I got serious, then about two days. I usually do writing of some sort every day, whether it's a poem, short story, script, or pages of the novel I'm working on.

~16~ When your out and about do you ever say to your self I am really proud to be a poet, or wonder if the person in line ahead of you writes?
I am extremely proud to be a poet; I love writing more than anything.
And yes, though I'm more likely to wonder, "If they did write... what would they have to say?"

~17~ What is your Screen Name?
Sera Merlin.

~18~ What is your Real first name?
Just Sera.

~19~ Does anyone else in your family write poetry?
No, actually. The fact that I write poetry mystifies them. I have hillbillies on one side and hicks on the other. (Maybe I'm adopted... one can only hope!)

~20~ Do you write stories too?
Definitely. I don't write as many stories as poems, because I usually get bored with writing stories before they're finished, but I enjoy penning fiction.
