Got to rush keep on the move,
someone around here's got something to prove,
Don't give me no bullshit
no false psychobabble,
I'm not paranoid,
this is the big apple.
Though why they should say that?
arn't apples mainly sweet,
not so half the people you meet.
All want to be someone or just want to "be",
I'm not into analysis,
I just want to be me!
Ive seen into the dark side,
the scandal the vice,
they should have called it the asylum,
instead of naming it twice.
Still I'm thankful there's an upside to downtown Manhattan,
can't live every day like a wizened old madman.
When I finally retire!
I'll retire to the top,
forever forgetting
I was a bent cop.
