Níl gach uile fhánaí caillte

I alight upon the leaves of the trees,
My feet like the wind of a cool summer breeze,
Stepping lightly I tread upon the air if where strange laughter roils,
It twists and calls, whispers and falls
to boil upon the forest floor below.

Have you ever danced upon the leaves as they fell?
Twirl from leaf to leaf as the air about you shivers,
Come the chill of fall,
Winter bring your fluffy grace where I trod,
Upon sleepy grasses,
Long since turned
green
to brown.

As sun falls the moon rises and calls,
"Children of mine!"
Its voice so clean and clear,
The trickling of a slender mountain stream,
A haunting hello heard in the woods,
The rumble of thunder speaking in every word.

So come we will,
We who dance upon falling leaves,
Come we will,
We who tread upon the cool summer breeze,
Come we and stay we till...

...till night is gone, and day has come, to come and go and leave with some.

Some,
A sad smile amongst faded trees,
Some,
A flitting of fey wings amongst trunks such as these,
Some,
A silent footstep upon your ears...

For faeries walk the winds
And dance upon the falling leaves,
Leaving a simple man such as I bereaved,
For I thought I saw one just now.

A faerie whispering words as these...

Go n-éirí an bóthar leat.
Go raibh cóir na gaoithe i gcónaí leat.
Go dtaitní an ghrian go bog bláth ar do chlár éadain,
go dtite an bháisteach go bog mín ar do ghoirt.
Agus go gcasfar le chéile sinn arís,
go gcoinní Dia i mbois a láimhe thú.

    Even the departure was light-hearted.
This kind of poem is like a breath of freezing, dewed air in the middle of a desert day. I feel much better; thank you, Demington.
