Sunset

Missing image
And as the sun
sank below
a million year-old horizon...
the magic that blessed
the world each
and every day
was no longer drenching the earth.

But it wasn't gone.

Just because the sun sets
on a golden age
does not mean that we
have lost the page -
the evening,
(or following chapter)
are always just as beautiful.

Just read into it;
look nice and deep
and soon
a most special something
for you to reap
will seep
into your world...

Sunset leads to
sunrise.
So long as
you don't
close your eyes.

Nicely done. I like the mediocrity of this piece.

Thanks for sharing and keep writing.

Overall it is an interesting poem. Although, the contest rules do call for left justified poetry. This is centered. Thank you for sharing.
