Lead Us To Ruins

Behold this once great nation, America
Our once great leaders are slowly crumbling
Waving their wands
But realize that they have no more tricks
Worried not are leaders of expenses nor killing
No cut of taxes or disappearing bloodshed
Only a small raise for the working man
and a cutting touch of red

Strange our leaders still look towards the light
When their own lives are filled with darkness and blight
Still, god only knows what our country has to look towards
Obama's ideals or pushing troops towards the war

Another crash?  Another Boom?
Another draft,  Yet much to soon
This bout is just one that we cannot win
Maybe one for the great grand F.I.N.

Up to date stuff! I'm from England and your news is all over the TV - interesting times and your sentiments are so similar to many here. The poem drew me in and got me thinking - Thanks very much for sharing.

Oh! Like the tone of this piece. And I agree that our country is deteriorating especially because of how little politicans seem to care about the nation's citizens. Thanks for sharing an interesting read!
