It's hard to know sometimes
Exactly what love is
You hear the whistful chimes
And float off on a breeze
Washed away in fantasy
Filled with hopes anew
And lofty on the sight of me
And I the hope of you
Reality then takes it's place
And fantasy's forgot
Tired of your endless face
And emotionless nights
We drift like sailing ships
On the tides of doom
Barely even meeting lips
And tangled up in gloom
But then one day I feel alone
And you seem hopeless too
We topple off our lofty throne
Into our homemade bed
Then once again explore to find
The beauty deep within
Of holding on to lovestruck blind
And knowing I love him
Author notes
For the one I love. A small glimps of us.

Still this poem here, speaks so loud to me. I felt every bit of what you said and related it to my own personal relationships. Its flow is wonderful as well as the diction/imagery within. Maybe that's why I gave you the gold lol.
Great poem,
Silvos.

Thanks, and thanks for the gold too, I'm not sure I said that before.

This is the best piece I've ever read by you. The title is a magnet...the content is something I relate to, and so this is especially endearing. I love it!!
