The Reflection

Reflecting the light so she may see
her newly cut hair and her fake beauty.
They don't really know that this look isn't real;
true beauty is shown by what they feel.
Thick layers of make-up and hair six shades black,
a band t-shirt and a messenger pack.
The scarlet cuts hid by rainbow writbands
only because no one dare understand
the pain that she feels behind her smile.
Inside she's been dead for quite a while.
No one bothered to tell her that even care;
she never once thought that someone was there.
In the dark of the night she'd release all the pain
and nobody thought she'd still pass as sane.
Except the mirror, reflecting the light;
seeing past the darkness of the look of night.
Showing her only what she wanted to see,
ever knowing the beautiful soul she'd be.
If only someone would have given her love,
her tomb would not yet be marked with a dove.

Please tell me what you think

    So sad, yet so beautiful (my dark sense is why it is beautiful to me, it's how you expressed yourself in it.) I know how you feel hun, this shows alot of yours and my past years of our dark times. Though the light is slowly coming into our lives, we don't forget what we've had to do in order to be where we are now. We don't forget what use to be, but atleast we're finally having the light in our lives, and hopefully it lasts. Always know I'm here for you, as I know you are for me. this was a very well done written piece, good job.
    your sis and friend forever
    much love
