That day in April when I joined AP

Oh it was April of 2005
my world was falling apart

Before my eyes....

looked like I was losing my job..
all I had worked for
just wasting away

Like it didn't matter
and no one cared

That April month
of 2005

was by far
the hardest month
in my life

The crying didn't stop
uncontrollable tears

I had a harrasser
and she was not letting go

Further down the hole
she buried
The more upset I was
the harder she went

Grasping on the a computer
google I searched

looking for a place
where I could write
and share everything

get these burdens off my chest

so everyday
I read poems
wrote poems

joined prayer groups
prayed

laughed

talked

and oh the writing
buried from highschool days

the need to write resurfaced
so out came the words
and helped ease the pain

little by little
I was surrounded by love
prayers

and people just like me

I am glad to tell the story

for all of you....

cause each of you that comments
talks to me
prays with me

You are lights to me

in a tunnel that was so dark

and now it shines
with all your love

THANK YOU AP FRIENDS....

I love you so!

    Nice

I'm glad you overcame the adversity. "What doesn't kill you will make you stronger." You are a survivor. Go forth and do great things.

What a wonderful poem of appreciation & growth!

Thank you, dear, for calling this one to my attention. I am only a Johnie come lately in your AP history here-- but I have also found you to be a blessing to me during my far more abbreviated stay here. I know live for both of us is still not a bed of roses (unless we take into account the thorns)--but we and many others are mutually blessed having a place to express ourselves and show concern and compassion for others. So I agree with you and say a thanks to you and Many others too, for helping make AP all the good it is and can be.

    Bless You,
    David

May we all be as fortunate to be received as well. I found my way by accident, and it is such a fun start. I love reading poetry and writing of course. I hope to now do more writing. Been stale for quite a while now. Thank you for reading my work and adding me as a favorite, I would like to return the privilage.

This is cool. When I first joined I was living in another State(US), and had a diferent wife. AP has definetly help me through some stuff. Now I stop by briefly to see if anything new is happening. I'm going to have to start posting again...

I'm pretty happy with reads or comments myself. Yes I remember you. You would comment from time to time on some of my poems that caught your interest. They're probably still there.

April 2005 was a painful pivotal life-changing month for me, too, interestingly enough.

Many of us came seeking so many things...shelter, a place to house our words, friendly voices from beyond the computer screen, a hideout, dreams, hopes, and aspirations. Almost three years since you found this safe-haven. Glad you're here poet and glad I know you. I hope your relationship with AP lasts as long as you wish. We can all grow together here in loving-kindness and have fun honing our skills. Great work! The best to you in the challenge.

Much Love & Many Blessings ♥
