and was felled by a falling star,
would my death mean that much more
to you who made a wish?
Or if your wish did not come true,
would it be all the more tragic?
If my smile were to disappear
and to not once grace this face,
a calm visage of expressionless life
that gives nothing and took less…
Would that loss be felt by you
who fed off every laugh?
When you thought my face indifferent
would it trouble you more
if your touch did not provoke in me
the heat of a budding passion?
Would you feel a burning rejection
you, who captured hearts?
Could our love be a bitter thing
when the time for truth finally arrives,
If you realized these things I’ve lost
Were things you had come to treasure?
Would you then appreciate them more
than if they showed up every mile?
Author notes
OPTION (1)
"There's once in a lifetime and once in a while, and the difference between them is a million miles."
OPTION (2)
"Stars don't fall; they plummet, because they are simply tired of being wished upon."
OPTION (3)
"If I died tomorrow, knowing I would cause you pain today, would you still love me?"
Ok.. so I took a smidgen from these three... and just... wrote... thanks for reading...
Sometimes we overlook the things that are treasures as unworthy of attention...Until we lose them and they become missed...
