In a remote desert in Southern Cyberia,
I met a mysterious young lady
dressed all in deep purples and black,
robed and hooded, with long comfortable looking suede boots.
She was riding a camel,
one of those two hump jobbies, you know?
and had two guards in escort,
a huge Black Moor, musclebound and silent,
but very observant and alert,
carrying a sharp-looking scimitar.
The other guard was a tall Swede,
but all sun-burnt and wind-worn.
The four of us had tea and crumpets,
and then we shared a bottle of magic liqueur,
and a pipe of some of the best tobacco
I have never smoked.
We ate chocolates,
and recited and sang poems to each other.
Then they invited me to travel with them.
And so I did.
Author notes
On 43things.com I met a young lady who was active in the struggle to save the people of Darfur. She and I became friends over the internet, and she told me about Allpoetry.

Hmmmmmmm......
This is quite the humorous and interesting tale you have spun
It does arouse a bit of curiosity though.
Like.....what were you doing that prompted that chocolate-eatin',ta-backy smokin', magic liquor drinking, double-humped-camel-jockey to invite you over in the 1st place?
Thank you for sharing this with us and best of luck in the contest!
